I can't say enough about the Black Angus! I had the prime rib with garlic mashed and it was amazing! The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked just how I like it. The portion was generous and it took a lot of willpower to take some home for later and not eat it all there. We finished the night with cheese cake which was very tasty. Shout out to Cody, our server, who didn't stop moving the whole time we were there. He made sure everything was perfect and gave great service.

We had a 5PM reservation on a Sat night. We were seated within 5 min. Our server was very friendly & attentive, she provided good advice on our selections. They started us off with a little loaf of warm bread & bitter to munch on while perusing the menu. We had the "Campfire Dinner" which came with one appetizer to share, two entrees, four sides and a dessert. We started with cocktails; I had a mango mojito and hubby had a boilermaker (go figure). We ordered the fried zucchini for our starter. It was a generous serving of lightly-breaded, deep-fried zucchini slices served with a cucumber ranch dip. It was OK and would have been better if not so greasy. We both selected filet mignons for our entrees ($3 upcharge) cooked medium rare with garlic-herb butter topping. The steaks were cooked properly and the butter gave them a nice flavor. The steaks were cut a little on the thin side for filets, but we're not over cooked and were tender and tasty. We also ordered the same sides - loaded baked potatoes and broccoli with garlic butter. The potatoes were very good - they were nice and hot inside and the ratio of toppings to potato was just right. The broccoli was cooked just right and the buttery sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming. We also had a glass of wine with dinner - we went with a Cabernet that has been barreled on-site in a bourbon barrel. At $10 per 6 Oz glass, it was a good choice for our meal, however it was a little on the warm side rather than ambient temperature. Our shared dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding with ice cream. The serving was perfect for sharing after a meal and it was delicious bread pudding - warm, moist, flavorful and no raisins! The ice cream was also good and was served still frozen instead of melting all over the dessert as sometimes happens. We are not usually fans of chain restaurants but we were attracted to the special dinner and we had a coupon. Total price for a a very good dinner, including tip was $100, which was a good value for our meal and service.

Not too bad for a place that's close by. I honestly thought Black Angus was overrated in the beginning because there used to be so many of them around. But now that they have been becoming more instinct, I think I like the food better. Been here a few times with my dad. I got the filet mignon a couple of times and it was pretty good. The only thing I don't like about this place is the service is kind of slow at times. Other than that everything else is good. Um...
